Dr. Yolanda P. Frontera DDS, MDS

Yolanda P. Frontera DDS, MDS is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon originally from Newburgh, NY. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dental Surgery, where she obtained her DDS(1990). After dental school ,she completed a general practice residency at University Hospital, SUNY, Stony Brook(1992). Dr. Frontera then went on to UConn Health Center, completing her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery(1997), Masters of Dental Science(1998), and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology(1998). She was the first resident at UConn to design and complete a dual–certification program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology. Since completing her education, Dr. Frontera has been in private practice in western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. In addition to private practice, she has been an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis at UConn Health Center since 1999.

Currently, Dr. Frontera is in private practice in West Hartford, CT and as of July 2011, she has made the decision to join the practice at Berkshire Facial Surgery . She is very excited to be working with her old classmates from UConn again (Dr. Bontempi and Dr. Paolella) and to once again have the opportunity to work with everyone in the western Massachusetts dental community.
